Overview

In this course, you will learn to design AI solutions that effectively meet user needs, rapidly prototype and iterate AI products using AI/UX design methods, navigate ethical considerations in AI product design, and develop and pitch a comprehensive AI product. The course includes interactive live sessions, lifetime access to course materials, in-depth lessons, direct access to the instructor, projects to apply learnings, guided feedback, and a private community of peers.

Module 1: Introduction to AI and Interaction Design
Understanding AI's impact on UX design and technological advancements. Analysis of digital AI trends and market disruptions relevant to UX. Topics include AI trends and their influence on UX, strategic digital marketing, and business tools for UX designers. Activities include case studies on UX strategies of industry leaders and group discussions on integrating AI into UX design.
Module 2: Design and Development of Interactions
Modern web and mobile development concepts for UX designers. Tools for building high-fidelity prototypes and proofs of concept. Topics include AMP, PWA, JAM STACK, hybrid development, and no-code platforms like Make.com for rapid prototyping. Activities include hands-on workshops using no-code tools for prototyping and practical sessions on identifying and solving UX design challenges.
Module 3: Fundamentals of Cognitive Science and Design
Impact of human psychology on UX design. Exploring human impulses and decision-making in the context of UX. Topics include human-machine interaction and designing habit-forming products, and cognitive ergonomics in UX design. Activities include workshops on integrating empathy and ethics into UX design and exercises on designing accessible and user-centric interfaces.
Module 4: Machine Learning and Neural Network Models
Practical approach to creating engaging UX with machine learning. Design, test, and implement AI-driven UX solutions. Topics include user-centered technology, content strategy, and interface development. Using AI tools and resources to enhance UX design. Activities include designing and testing AI-enhanced wireframes and UI prototypes, and collaborative projects on creating responsive AI-driven UX designs.
Module 5: User Experience Architectures
Running usability tests and evaluating user interaction for AI solutions. Iterative methodology for improving UX based on AI insights. Topics include A/B testing, heat maps, conversion funnels for UX evaluation, and competitive usability tests and reporting for AI-driven projects. Activities include conducting usability tests with real users and creating backlogs and prioritizing UX improvements based on AI data.
Module 6: Principles of Artificial Intelligence
Broad overview of AI applications relevant to UX design. Designing, testing, and implementing AI algorithms in UX projects. Topics include machine learning, search algorithms, Markov decision processes, constraint satisfaction, graphical models, and logic for UX solutions. Activities include developing AI-driven UX solutions for specific problems and workshops on implementing AI algorithms in UX design scenarios.
Module 7: Implementation of an AI Product
Synthesizing all learning into a final AI-enhanced UX project. Journey of discovery through learning by doing in UX design. Topics include identifying UX opportunities, designing AI solutions, and user-focused strategies. Building and testing high-fidelity interactive UX prototypes. Activities include ideation, validation, and strategy development for AI-UX projects, and presenting final prototypes on demo day with peer and instructor feedback.
Final Week Wrap-up
Active mentoring sessions to optimize professional growth in UX. Final feedback and evaluation of AI-UX projects.
